Terms of Service
Last updated 1 November 2026
- You own what you create in MathPad, and you are responsible for it.
- When you publish to YouTube, Facebook or TikTok, their terms apply too. Using YouTube through MathPad means you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
- MathPad is provided as it is, and our liability is limited.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Preps233, the maker of MathPad, of Accra, Ghana ("we", "us"). By installing or using MathPad you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use MathPad.
2. Using MathPad
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use MathPad for teaching, learning and creating educational content, including content you publish or earn from. You may not sell, rent or redistribute MathPad itself, or remove its notices.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the questions, solutions, handwriting, recordings and videos you create. We do not receive your content and claim no rights in it.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to use everything in it, including questions, pictures and videos taken from books, past examination papers or other people's work. Some examination bodies and publishers hold copyright in their questions. Make sure you have permission, or that your use is allowed, before you publish.
4. YouTube, Facebook and TikTok
MathPad can publish your videos to accounts you connect. When you do, you are using those services, and their terms apply alongside these:
- YouTube. MathPad uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube or uploading through MathPad, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Facebook. Posting to a Facebook Page is subject to Meta's Terms of Service and Facebook's Community Standards.
- TikTok. Posting to TikTok is subject to the TikTok Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Those platforms decide how your videos are shown, and may limit, label or remove them under their own rules. We are not responsible for what they do, and we do not control or guarantee their availability or upload limits. You can disconnect any account at any time in MathPad.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use MathPad to create or publish content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, deceives people, harasses or harms anyone, or breaks the rules of the platform you publish to. Do not use MathPad to send spam or automated bulk posts, or to get around a platform's limits or restrictions.
6. Third-party software
MathPad includes open-source software, including FFmpeg (LGPL) for making videos, and the DejaVu and Delius fonts (free licences). Their licences are included with the app and apply to those components.
7. No warranty
MathPad is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make it reliable and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, that calculations or rendered equations will always be correct, or that publishing will always succeed. Check important work yourself, and keep copies of videos you care about.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, content, income or audience, arising from your use of MathPad or of any connected platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for MathPad in the twelve months before the claim, or GH₵ 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.
9. Ending use
You can stop using MathPad at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously break these terms, your licence to use MathPad ends. Sections 3, 7, 8 and 10 continue to apply after that.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and explain any important change in the app; continuing to use MathPad after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
